What’s Christmas without a retro sitcom coming back from the dead for a festive hurrah? Well, it’s not the same, that’s what it is.
This year that sitcom is ITV’s Birds of a Feather, and the special will be the third for the series since it was resurrected in 2014. The trio of Linda Robson, Pauline Quirke and Lesley Joseph will all be coming back, though little else is known.
ITV said: “Chigwell’s favourite trio will be back on ITV later this year with a feature length one off Christmas special. Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph reprise their roles as Sharon, Tracey and Dorien in a new adventure for the ladies.”
ITV brought the show back three years ago after it has been missing from the BBC schedules since 1998, and a regular series is expected to air in 2018.
