Blood on Snow from will premiere in the UK as a Sky Original film

The crime thriller from director Cary Joji Fukunaga (No Time To Die, True Detective) is based on the bestselling novel by acclaimed author Jo Nesbø. The  cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Aaron Taylor‑Johnson, Eva Green, Emma Laird and Ben Mendelsohn.

What is Blood on Snow about

From the press release, the film is set in Oslo’s criminal underworld and follows a contract killer played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. When faced with an emotionally charged moral dilemma, the assassin must form an uneasy alliance which drags him to the heart of Oslo’s deadly gang war. Nesbø produced the script with Ben Power. Here’s the summary:

Hoffman’s trusted hitman, Olav (Johnson), is a cold, efficient killer, perfect for the job. This new film follows the success of Sky’s previous acquisition of Nesbø adaptation The Hanging Sun. The studio will bring this newest adaption to UK cinemas in 2027.
