Bridgerton meets Cinderella (pumpkins not required) in the season 4 trailer

Get ready to return to the Ton as Netflix pumps up the publicity ahead of the released of Bridgerton season 4, and the new trailer makes the Cinderella influence very clear.

When is season 4 arriving (and who falls in love this time)

From the latest press release:

Split into two parts, Season 4 follows the titular clan’s second-eldest sibling, Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson). That’s right: The character who once looked on dreamily from the corner of the ballroom is now ready for his own Bridgerton love story. Benedict meets his romantic interest, the determined and captivating Sophie, in the first episode of the new season — which you’ll be able to watch when Part 1 drops on Jan. 29. Part 2 follows a few weeks later on Feb. 26.

It’s time to go the ball (OK, masquerade) as Sophie channels her inner Cinderella and dons disguise to enchant Benedict and leave behind a glove as sole memento. Presumably glass slippers are less fashionable in Regency England. While the trailer focuses on Benedict, we do get a glimpse of Queen Charlotte’s (Golda Rosheuvel) new relationship with Nicola Couglan’s Penelope Bridgerton (formerly Featherington aka Lady Whistledown).
