Developments are underway for the production of Prime Video’s God of War series, here’s what we know so far:

Anticipation grows for the Prime Video adaptation of the very popular video game franchise, God of War. New faces join the cast and new morsels of information about the show are being released to keen fans, let’s break down the latest info…

What’s it about?

The hit video game takes place in a world populated by ancient gods, creatures and storylines. The tv adaptation has already received and order for two series before premiering. The story will follow the main character of the game, Kratos, and his son, Atreus. The pair embark on a quest to spread the ashes of Faye, Kratos’ wife and Atreus’ mother. As they encounter different adventures, Kratos tries to turn everything into a teaching moment for his son, not realising his son is trying to teach him something too.

Who’s in it?

Ryan Hurst (The Walking Dead) will take on the role of Kratos. He’ll be joined by Max Parker (Boots), Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (The Deep), Mandy Patinkin (Homeland), Alastair Duncan (God of War game series), Jeff Gulka (Buddy Games), Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies) and Danny Woodburn (Conan the Adventurer).

When’s it out?

No dates have been announced yet, but pre-production has already begun in Vancouver.
