Netflix recently decided that the fourth part of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina would be the last…
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has revealed that a planned fifth instalment of the show would have featured a Riverdale crossover, where witches from the nearby town would have gone to war with the witches of Sabrina’s Greendale.
Thank you for all the love, #sabrinanetflix fans. Part Four is our best yet and Part Five, “Witch War,” would’ve been AMAZING. To be continued in the pages of #CAOS comic book… 💔🔮☠️🍔👨🏻💻 pic.twitter.com/wNvTfxYNfX

“Thank you for all the love, #sabrinanetflix fans,” Aguirre-Sacasa wrote on Twitter. “Part 4 is our best yet and Part 5, ‘Witch War,’ would’ve been AMAZING. To be continued in the pages of #CAOS comic book.”
It was announced earlier this week that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 4 would be the end of the series at Netflix. It was the latest in a raft of shows that Netflix decided to wrap up, which already included Ozark, The Kominsky Method and Dead to Me. The streaming service gave no reason for cancelling the Riverdale spinoff series, which focuses on the dark dealings of teenage witch Sabrina Spellman as she tries to balance regular high school life and the trials of learning her occult crafts.
“Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honour from day one. The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone’s favourite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show,” said Aguirre-Sacasa in a statement. “I’m also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can’t wait for everyone to see part four.”
Netflix has not yet set a release date for the final season of Sabrina, but it will arrive before the end of the year.
