Classic Horror Halloween coming your way

Get ready for plenty of Classic Horror Halloween this Halloween, all (of course) on the Horror Channel…

The Horror Channel is going back to the some of the absolute classics this Halloween, across Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 October. This is in the form of two (diabolical) marathons and five channel premieres. It’s a good month for the channel, which already promoted a swathe of October premieres.

The new (to the Horror Channel) titles are:

Bride Of Frankenstein, the celebrated sequel to the 1931 classic with Boris Karloff reprising his role as the Creature

Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman, featuring the original Wolfman, Lon Chaney, Jr. and Bela Lugosi as Frankenstein’s monster

The Invisible Man, in which Claude Rains delivers a remarkable performance in his screen debut

Christy Cabanne’s frightening chiller masterpiece The Mummy’s Hand

Revenge Of The Creature, the sequel to Universal’s fabulously successful The Creature from the Black Lagoon

If that’s not enough to tempt you, there’s also Ted Browning and Karl Freund’s Dracula, starring Bela Lugosi as the infamously seductive Count, James Whale’s genre-defining Frankenstein, starring Boris Karloff, Karl Freund’s mesmerising The Mummy, with Boris Karloff further establishing himself as one of the great horror stars in film history, The Wolf Man, with Lon Chaney, Jr. as the original werewolf and the pulp horror classic Creature From The Black Lagoon.

In all honesty we hardly know where to start with the recommendations, when so many of these have legendary status in the genre’s media history. Just don’t watch them alone!
