Fancy having a wine tasting session with Olivia Colman this Christmas?
Oddbins is challenging its customers to ‘give a fox’ this festive season with a unique Christmas campaign.
The high street wine and beer merchant will be displaying nearly 50 hand-made foxes in their windows this year and five of them have been “adopted” by celebrities, including Peep Show actress Olivia Colman, Sir Ian Botham, Arsenal legend Bob Wilson, actress Greta Scacchi and Henry Blofeld, the voice of cricket on Radio 4.
Auction lots will then run on eBay from 1 December and the winner of each auction will not only receive the fox itself, but also experience a wine tasting session for up to 5 people, hosted by the celebrity adopter of the fox and conducted by Oddbins’ wine buyer, Ana Sapungiu! All of the money raised will go to the charity of the celebrity’s choice.
The remaining foxes will be sold through a silent auction at each store in the new year.

Ayo Akintola, the Managing Director of Oddbins, commented: “We want our customers to give a fox about the quality and value of what they drink over the festive season and in the process raise thousands of pounds for charities. Our buyers are like foxes – they need to be cunning to discover the best and most stylish wines at the best price points throughout the whole range.”
Susie Sage, co-founder of the company, added: “Each of our foxes are a bit like the terracotta warriors in China – they are each unique and have their own personalities. We have not stopped making them since we won the contract with Oddbins and we are thrilled that they are going to be used to raise so much money for good causes.”
