Daisy Jones & The Six – Amazon drops a first trailer for its adaptation
The show is based on the bestseller by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
Ahead of a March 3rd release, Amazon have dropped the first teaser trailer for Daisy Jones & the Six – adapted from the book of the same name.
Partly inspired by Fleetwood Mac, the story chronicles the rise and fall of a 1970s rock band.
Here’s the synopsis:
Based on the best-selling novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Daisy Jones & The Six is a limited musical-drama series detailing the rise and precipitous fall of a renowned rock band. In 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world. Fronted by two charismatic lead singers—Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin)—the band had risen from obscurity to fame.
And then, after a sold-out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, they called it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.
“Look, I know that I said that I would tell you everything. But how much of everything do you really want to know?”
The trailer features the song “Regret Me”, one of 24 original tunes created for the series. The show’s music is going to be released by Atlantic records as the series airs.
Joining Riley Keough and Sam Claflin (Peaky Blinders) in the show are Camila Morrone, Will Harrison, Suki Waterhouse, Josh Whitehouse, Sebastian Chacon, Nabiyah Be, Tom Wright and Timothy Olyphant.
The series comes from Amazon Studios and Reece Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine. Witherspoon takes an executive producer’s credit alongside Lauren Neustadter, Brad Mendelsohn, Scott Neustadter, Will Graham and James Ponsoldt.
The show’s creators are Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, the directors are Nzingha Stewart and Will Graham.
