Sad news for fans of Dara O Briain’s Go 8 Bit as Dave have now confirmed that the comedy game show will not be returning for a fourth series…
The show, which followed comedians Steve McNeil and Sam Pamphilon teaming up with celebrity guests to beat each other at video games, kick-started in 2016 and went on to score some solid ratings for Dave. Across the series guests included Richard Osman, Katherine Ryan, Susan Calman and Jonathan Ross.
The news was confirmed rather confusingly on Twitter. Team captain Steve McNeil drew attention to the show’s cancellation in a rather sad tweet, announcing that he had only discovered the news himself on Twitter.

McNeil later pointed out that UKTV Play actually confirmed the series’ cancellation a fortnight earlier:
