A fan favourite that helped make Netflix’s (at the time) risky Daredevil into a massive success, Vincent D’Onofrio has been confirmed for the superhero series’ third season.

The news was accompanied by the announcement that Erik Oleson (Man in the High Castle; Arrow) would be coming aboard as showrunner.

“Vincent is an exceptional actor who returns with the incredible gravitas he brings to Fisk,” executive producer and Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb told Deadline. “We’re very excited how Marvel’s Daredevil develops through the creative lens and guidance of our new showrunner, Erik Oleson.”

No air date for Daredevil season three has been announced but, with The Punisher making its debut next month, we can except it in early 2018.
