In the last week Netflix have been culling their original shows left, right and centre but one series that’s guaranteed a future is Matt Groening’s animated comedy, Disenchantment.
Upon commissioning the fantasy show was awarded two seasons so this renewal takes Disenchantment through to its fourth season. Netflix have already set the date, with season two coming in 2019, three in 2020 and four in 2021.
Commenting on the renewal, Groening said, “We’re excited to continue this epic journey with Netflix. Stay tuned for more cranked-up suspense, infuriating plot twists, and beloved characters getting knocked off.”
Disenchantment “follows the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo and personal demon Luci. The oddball trio encounters the likes of ogres, sprites, imps, trolls and human fools along the way,” and amongst its talented voice cast are Broad City‘s Abbi Jacobson, Eric Andre, Nat Faxon, Matt Berry and Sharon Horgan.
