Fantastic 4: First Steps will arrive on Disney+ next month — here’s what you need to know

Marvel has announced the new Fantastic 4 film will stream from November 5. Depending on the exact time of release (they are sometimes West Coast), this may mean we in the UK don’t get this until the early hours of November 6. Note also, Fantastic 4 not Fantastic Four.

What is this latest film about

The film stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn. From the press release linked above:

Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family —  Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Quinn), and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Moss-Bachrach)  — as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.

The film also stars Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, Sarah Niles, and Mark Gatiss.
