A set of new posters have been released for Penny Dreadful, Sky Atlantic’s upcoming psychological thriller series.

Billie Piper (Doctor Who) stars as Brona Croft, an Irish immigrant seeking to escape her dark past, alongside Eva Green (Casino Royale) as Vanessa Ives, Josh Hartnett as Ethan Chandler, Rory Kinnear (Black Mirror) as Frankenstein’s monster, and James Bond star Timothy Dalton as Sir Malcolm, a hardened African explorer on a deeply personal quest.

Featuring some of literature’s most terrifying characters in Victorian London, Penny Dreadful begins in the US on Sunday 11 May on Showtime and will air in the UK on Sky Atlantic.
