Filming has started on the fourth season of Wolfblood in Newcastle/Gateshead.
12 new half-hour episodes will air on CBBC in 2016.
CBBC’s official Twitter account posted the first picture of filming yesterday.
Helen Bullough, Head of CBBC Productions, commented: “We’re thrilled to be bringing another series of amazing Wolfblood adventures to its droves of fans, who are so passionate about this brilliant brand.”
She added: “Newcastle/Gateshead is a great backdrop for the twists and turns of this enthralling fourth series, and we’re delighted to have welcomed so many fine actors to the cast, with new faces appearing alongside familiar favourites.”
Wolfblood creator Debbie Moon announced the fourth season’s commission earlier this year.
The fantasy action drama launched in 2012 and follows the lives of a group of ordinary teenagers who lead secret lives as wolfbloods.
Season 3 concluded last October, with the wolfbloods facing their toughest challenge yet as Kincaid planned to eradicate their species.
