Back in 2014, E4 pressed ahead with a pilot episode of a sitcom by the name of Game Face, from Roison Conaty. It’s certainly taken its time moving things forward from there, but the channel has now confirmed that a full series is moving ahead, and that it’ll be on air later this year.
Conaty stars in and wrote the show, and joining her in the cast are Father Ted’s Pauline McLynn and Francis Magee. Six half-hour episodes are being made.
The series focuses on Conaty’s character, Marcella, as she goes through her 30s in the aftermath of a long-term relationship breakup.
The pilot episode of Game Face is still available on demand at Channel 4’s website if you fancy giving it a watch. You can find it right here. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/game-face/on-demand/58001-001.
