The first trailer for Back, the new sitcom from comedy duo David Mitchell and Robert Webb, has landed online.

The clip gives us our first proper look at the comedy, which will feature the comedians playing kind-of brothers who battle for status in the family after ‘their’ father passes away.

Not all double-acts are created equal, but Mitchell and Webb have managed to maintain their working relationship post-Peep Show, which wrapped up in 2015. Now, they return with another premise sure to come with an awkward moment or two.

Back follows Stephen (Mitchell), who takes over his father’s pub after he dies, and Andrew (Webb) – one of the family’s many foster childen who returns to the fold after years of travelling. What follows sounds a bit All About Eve crossed with Cuckoo.

The Channel 4 series is written and created by Simon Blackwell, and Louise Brealey, Penny Downie and Geoffrey McGivern also star.
