‘Hacks’ comes to Sky in the UK

The broadcaster will premiere the third and fourth seasons of Hacks.

Sky has confirmed that it becomes the new home of the award-winning Hacks from next month. The show has previously only been available via Prime Video in the UK.

The comedy drama follows a young comedy writer, Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder), who finds herself persona non grata when a tweeted joke lands badly. She ends up talking a job in Las Vegas, writing for the legendary comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart), and the story follows their deeply complicated relationship.

The series also stars Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Megan Stalter, Paul W. Downs, Rose Abdoo and Mark Indelicato.

A whip-smart satire of the entertainment industry, Hacks is a darling of the award circuit. It picked up a Primetime Emmy as the Outstanding Comedy Series, as well as for writing and direction. On top of that, Jean Smart has won as Outstanding Lead Actress on three occasions. and the show scooped the Golden Globes for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy for its first and third seasons.

Hacks comes from co-creators Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky, and executive producer Michael Schur (A Man on the Inside).

Season 3 lands on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK on 7th February, alongside the show’s first two seasons. Season 4 follows later in the year.
