The summer may be over but development is just beginning as talks about a new take on the iconic tv series have manifested into something real. The newest release of information provides a sneak peek of what to expect.

What’s Hawaii Five-O about?

The adaptation will be based on the series which depicted crime and justice against the sweltering, beachy backdrop of the titular location. No specific plot details have been revealed as of yet, but there’s potential for the police dynasty to continue or for a fresh take on a classic franchise a-la 21 Jump Street.

Who’s behind it?

The project is being directed by Maui-raised Destin Daniel Cretton (Spiderman: Brand New Day), and will be penned by Chris Bremner (Bad Boys: Ride or Die) and Noah Oppenheim (Jackie).
