Absolutely Fabulous was last seen on BBC One with three 30-minute specials to celebrate the comedy’s 20th anniversary.

Discussing the possiblility of the sitcom returning for more specials at a Broadcasting Press Guild lunch, BBC executive Shane Allen commented: “Obviously. [Jennifer Saunders] is brilliant. I’d do anything she wants. [Absolutely Fabulous] is in the national fabric, isn’t it? The door’s wide open.”
