Three new cast members have been announced for American Gods season 2: Kayhun Kim from Shameless, Devery Jacobs from Cardinal and Dean Winters from John Wick have all nabbed roles in the Starz series’ second season, which is headed up by new showrunner Jesse Alexander.
Kim (pictured at the top of this article) will play New Media, effectively the replacement for Gillian Anderson’s Media from American Gods season 1. Deadline describes New Media as “the goddess of global content — and in this age, a cyberspace chameleon, who is also a master of manipulation.”
Jacobs (pictured above this paragraph) is playing Sam Black Crow, a college student that is “is spiritually cynical for someone who claims to believe in so much. She lives life with fierce confidence and openness, selling the chainsaw art she carves by the roadside for extra money.”
And Winters (pictured below) will guest star as Mr Town. This character will be given a mission, by Crispin Glover’s Mr World, to find out how much Ricky Whittle’s Shadow Moon knowns about Ian McShane’s Mr Wednesday and his plans.
The American Gods season 2 release date is yet to be revealed, so we don’t know yet when the show will return to Starz in the USA or Amazon Prime in UK.
As we hear more, though, we’ll be sure to let you know.
