From Tom Hardy and his Peaky Blinders and Taboo collaborator, Steven Knight, comes a fresh take on A Christmas Carol, heading to BBC One on 22nd December.
Guy Pearce stars as the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge in the new adaptation, alongside Andy Serkis as The Ghost of Christmas Past, Stephen Graham as Jacob Marley, and Rutger Hauer as The Ghost of Christmas Future.
The Beeb has released a new trailer for its festive tale, described as a “haunting, hallucinatory, spine-tingling immersion into Scrooge’s dark night of the soul”. You can see it below…
“This production of A Christmas Carol will respectfully present what we believe to be a timely interpretation of a timeless story,” Knight said in a statement.
The three-part series will wrap up on Christmas Eve.
