The Philharmonia Orchestra will perform music from the BBC’s Planet Earth in London next year.

Conducted by composer George Fenton, the family event will combine Fenton’s music with stunning HD footage from the award-winning BBC TV series.

BBC Planet Earth in Concert takes place at 7.30pm on Sunday 31 January 2016 at London’s Royal Festival Hall and is part of the Philharmonia at the Movies series.

Produced by the BBC Natural History Unit, 2006’s Planet Earth took five years to make and was the most expensive nature documentary series ever commissioned by the BBC.
