Answering questions on the show’s official blog, he commented: “I think I’d do some of Series 2 differently.”

Whithouse explained: “Arguably I think it was a mistake to have our heroes oblivious to Kemp and Jaggat’s evil plans for so long. I might even shift the reveal of Jaggat’s identity to the end of Episode 7, so the audience would be no further ahead of the plot than the characters.”

He added: “But to be honest we learn more from our mistakes than our successes. I know I keep banging on about this, but Series 3 has been a fantastic experience for me because we were able to utilize all the knowledge we’d gained over Series 1 and 2.”

The third series of Being Human continues with Episode 5 at 9pm on Sunday 20th February on BBC Three.
