Another adventure with everyone’s favourite bear isn’t far away, as Ben Whishaw has said he would love to return to the Paddington franchise.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the actor talked about coming back for a third installment, after the second film was received with huge audience and crtitical acclaim.
He said: “I absolutely love doing Paddington. It takes a lot of time, and each time I’ve done it, it’s taken the better part of a year. But… I would love to do another one.”
Despite these encouraging words, Whishaw said that he would not return should writer-director Paul King decide not to also, adding: “I can’t image what it would be like without him, so I think it’s really down to whether he wants to or not.
“I think he probably needs a real break from Paddington right now because he’s spent the last five years doing it.”
