The comedy originally ran for 102 episodes from 1989 to 1998 on BBC One.
Filming will begin on eight new episodes in September, reports The Sun, with stars Pauline Quirke and Linda Robson returning as sisters Sharon and Tracey, alongside Lesley Joseph as neighbour Dorien.
An ITV spokesperson commented: “We can confirm that we have commissioned a new series of Birds of a Feather and we’re really excited to be welcoming Sharon, Tracey and Dorien to ITV. We will confirm more details in due course.”
