Production has begun on Bulletproof series 2, with Noel Clarke and Ashley Walters reuniting in London to reprise their respective roles in Sky’s crime drama.
Bulletproof launched on Sky in May 2018, with a first series that consisted of six episodes. Clarke (who’s best known for his Kidulthood trilogy of films) and Walters (previously seen in Bullet Boy and Get Rich Or Die Tryin’) created the drama together, along with Nick Love (who previously brought us such feature films as The Football Factory and The Sweeney.
In Bulletproof, Clarke plays Aaron Bishop and Walters plays Ronnie Pike Jnr. These detectives/best buds work for the National Crime Agency on some fairly major cases.
And now, trusted industry website The Knowledge Online has confirmed that Bulletproof series 2 has started shooting in London. Interestingly, this is a shift in location, since series 1 took place in Liverpool.
Allan Niblo, who executive produces the show through Vertigo Films, offered this statement:
“With Bulletproof we wanted to give British cop drama a twist, bringing a combination of blockbuster action and warmth and humour to screens. We’re so pleased with the response and can’t wait to work with Sky to bring back Pike and Bishop for another series.”
As we hear more about Bulletproof series 2, we’ll be sure to let you know.
