The cast includes Samuel West (Van Helsing), Ukweli Roach (Streetdance 3D), Hattie Morahan (The Golden Compass), Tobias Menzies (Rome, Casino Royale) and Orla Brady (Fringe, Mistresses).

Set in the city of York, the show focuses on two central characters, Zak and Tom, who are angels sent to earth to both help a community and try to understand the human condition. Produced by Kudos (Spooks, Hustle), all six episodes will be written by Ashley and Matthew.

Samuel West stars as Zak Gist, an “intelligent yet cynical angel sent to earth to help a community”. Ukweli Roach will play Tom Greening, an “eager newcomer who is on earth for the first time”. Hattie Morahan will play Hannah, a “beautiful barrister who tempts Zak to stray from the right path”.

Eternal Law will air on ITV1 in 2012.
