Supernatural teen drama Nowhere Boys will be back for a second season.
The Australian series began airing in the UK on CBBC in September and Season 1 concludes at 5.30pm on Monday on CBBC.
Nowhere Boys sees four teenage boys find themselves lost in a forest. When they return home, they discover that they’re in an alternate world identical to theirs, except for one startling difference – they were never born.
Season 2 began filming in Melbourne in June, with main cast members Joel Lok, Dougie Baldwin, Rahart Adams and Matthew Testro all returning.
Creator Tony Ayres, Matchbox Pictures commented: “It’s rare to be given an opportunity to produce a high concept children’s TV series like Nowhere Boys. It’s a show that Matchbox is tremendously proud of, and we’re thrilled that the adventure will continue in series 2.”
Deirdre Brennan, ABC TV Controller of Children’s Television, added: “Our ABC3 audience was thoroughly enthralled in the mystery of the Nowhere Boys and we are excited to work with Matchbox Pictures again on the highly anticipated second series.”
