The creator of Wolfblood has revealed that CBBC has recommissioned the drama for another season.
Season 4 aired on CBBC earlier this year, with the story moving outside Stoneybridge and several key cast members not returning.
Jana, played Leona Vaughan, became the main character and embarked on a new life in the big city, building herself a new pack of Wolfbloods and humans.”
Writer Debbie Moon announced at the Hay Festival this weekend that Wolfblood will definitely be returning for a fifth season.
Writing on her blog today, Moon said: “We’re already writing the scripts, and we hope to film in October 2016 for transmission in early 2017.”
She added: “We look forward to bringing you more adventures in the brave new world where the existence of Wolfbloods is public knowledge, and both humans and Wolfbloods have a lot of adjusting to do…”
Season 4 introduced a number of new characters, including corporate boss Imara (Michelle Gayle), her son TJ (Louis Payne), Matei (Jack Brett Anderson), his sister Emilia (Sydney Wade), and martial arts enthusiast Selina (Rukku Nahar).
