Netflix’s Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina will return to the streaming service sooner than we initially expected, with a one-off Christmas special set to air on December 14th.
The show’s creator/showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, announced the news on Twitter:
Praise Satan! I mean, Praise Santa! @sabrinanetflix has a X-mas Special dropping on 12/14!! I love this episode of #CAOS!! @netflix 🔮👹👼🏼🎄⚡️☃️🥂🍷☠️ pic.twitter.com/A5DPs4Dajv

And then, thanks to TV Line, a whole stack of images appeared online…
The title of the episode will be A Midwinter’s Tale. And if you’re looking for a few more teasers, there is a teensy bit of footage in Netflix’s trailer for the Christmas season at large…
“We’re going to hunker down and watch our favourite movies”, Lucy Davis’ Hilda Spellman tells Kiernan Shipka’s Sabrina in the short clip above, basically summarising what all of us will be using Netflix for over the festive season.
We are intrigued to see how the Satan-worshipping Spellmans celebrate Christmas, and whether there is any crossover between the witching world and the more traditional yuletide traditions. Sabrina loves a red coat, of course, but will she be able to ape Santa in any other ways? We’ll just have to wait and watch to find out, of course.
Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale will arrive on Netflix on December 14th. A full second season of the show is expected to follow at some point next year.
We’ll bring you more news as we hear it.
