With season 1 and a Christmas special already online, and season 2 on the way, Netflix has opted to show some more support for The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina: the streaming service has ordered sixteen more episodes, which will be split across ‘Part 3’ and ‘Part 4’ of the show.
Netflix, clearly, is aware that it has a sizeable hit on its hands here. Sabrina was one of the most hyped shows on the streaming service when its first season arrived online, and the news of a Christmas special was received very well by the fans. This story, which secures the show’s the future for the next couple of years, is sure to go down well too.
Sabrina creator and executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who is CCO of Archie Comics and helped bring Riverdale to the screen as well, said this about the renewal:
“Praise Satan! I’m so grateful to my partners at Warner Brothers, Netflix, Berlanti Television, and Archie Productions for supporting this darker vision of the world’s most famous teen witch. And I’m thrilled to be continuing to tell Sabrina’s chilling adventures with our incredible cast and crew, led by the unstoppable Kiernan Shipka.”
