Both Hayley Atwell and David Tennant appear in  Criminal, an upcoming crime drama on Netflix that features an interesting international set-up. Here’s everything you need to know, including the release date…

Criminal, created by George Kay and Jim Field Smith, will consist of twelve episodes. These twelve episodes will be split across four countries, with storylines in the UK, France, Spain and Germany each spanning three episodes apiece.

TV Wise reports that Netflix has confirmed the Criminal release date for Friday 20 September.

Former Doctor Who star and recent Good Omens star David Tennant, along with former Agent Carter star Hayley Atwell, will appear in the UK-set segment.

The show has been described as a “stripped down, cat-and-mouse drama” and it will apparently take place exclusively in police interrogation rooms. That explains the teaser trailer somewhat, doesn’t it?
