Game Of Thrones, Doctor Who and Harry Potter alum David Bradley is among the actors to join Sky and Cinemax’s upcoming Gangs Of London series, which has The Raid director Gareth Evans at the helm. You can find out more here…
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, reporting that Bradley has joined the Gangs Of London cast alongside the Irish actor Colm Meaney (Star Trek, Con Air).
Other new cast members include Paapa Essiedu (Kiri), Adrian Bower (The Last Kingdom), Valene Kane (The Fall), Ray Panthaki (Colette), Orli Shuka (War Machine), Darren Evans (My Mad Fat Diary), Garmon Rhys, Serena Kennedy, Aksel Üstün, Kwong Loke, and Constantine Gregory. Black Mirror‘s Joe Cole and Humans‘ Sope Dirisu had already been cast. That’s a lot of talented people.
THR describes the plot of the show thusly:
“Set in one of the world’s most dynamic, multicultural cities — one which is torn by the turbulent power struggles of the international gangs that control it — the 10-part series will chronicle the sudden power vacuum created when the head of a crime organization is assassinated and how his death threatens the fragile peace between the intricate web of gangs operating on the streets of the city.”
Filming began in December last year, and we’ll be sure to keep you posted as we hear more.
