Defending Jacob is an original drama series made by Apple and based on the book of the same name by William Landay.
Nabbing a star of Chris Evans’ stature was quite the get for Apple, with new series Defending Jacob being the Captain America actor’s first TV gig since way back in the year 2000, when he appeared in a miniseries named Opposite Sex.
In Defending Jacob, a shocking crime rocks a small Massachusetts town and one family in particular, forcing an assistant district attorney (Evans) to choose between his sworn duty to uphold justice and his unconditional love for his son.
Showrunner Mark Bomback, who previously penned War For The Planet Of The Apes, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, The Wolverine, the Total Recall remake, Die Hard 4.0 and The Umbrella Academy created the series for the Apple streaming service, and Morten Tyldum (Passengers, The Imitation Game ) directed it.

It will stream on Apple TV+ from 24th April.
