Writing on the show’s official blog, executive producer Petra Fried commented: “We are all sad to say goodbye to Robbie Sheehan – he has been brilliant as Nathan.”

She continued: “Luckily for us, all of Nathan’s filthy lines were written by (creator and writer) Howard Overman, and there’s loads more where they came from – we call it the Overman dirt bank.”

The blog also confirms that shooting begins in three weeks’ time on “eight whole episodes” and that “Seth, that nasty piece of power-dealing work will be back”.

Last month creator Howard Overman hinted at what’s coming up in the third series, promising “two big stories”.
