Following a festive season break, the second half of the US crime drama’s first season kicks off at 9pm on Tuesday 26 February, staring Jonny Lee Miller (Dexter) as detective Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu (Charlie’s Angels) as Dr. Joan Watson.
Elementary is Sky Living’s highest ever rating drama, with over 1.13 million viewers tuning in each week.
The new episodes will see Scottish actor John Hannah (Damages) join the cast as Rhys, Sherlock’s ex drug dealer who now needs the detective’s help with his own personal mystery, and Vinnie Jones (Snatch) playing the role of M, a serial murderer whom Sherlock has previously investigated in London.
Executive producer Rob Doherty teased: “The window into Sherlock and his experience in London will be opened that much wider.”
Jonny Lee Miller added: “It’s a thrill because we make our show for people. If they’re watching the show and enjoying it, that’s all that matters really, to me.”
