Channel 4 has commissioned a fourth season of comedy Friday Night Dinner.

Tamsin Greig, Paul Ritter, Simon Bird and Tom Rosenthal will all return as the Goodman Family, along with Spaced star Mark Heap as Jim.

Creator Robert Popper commented: “I am verry hapy I am writin a new serries of Friday Niht Dinners for Chanel 4. I hop it wil be funy and that the peeples wil laurgh.”

Channel 4’s Deputy Head Of Comedy, Nerys Evans, added: “It’s always a joy to welcome back the wonderfully doolally world of Friday Night Dinner, and Season 4 looks set to be a real corker.”

Season 3 aired on Channel 4 last summer.

The new season sees Jonny get serious with a ‘female’, Adam injure Jonny after buttering the kitchen floor, Mum forced to pretend that her mother has died, Dad inviting a friend over who talks with his eyes closed, and the return of ‘Horrible Grandma’ for more horribleness.
