Thanks to some investigative work from a fan site, we now know the length of every episode in Game Of Thrones season 8. The show’s final run will feature some lengthy instalments…
We already knew that HBO and the Game Of Thrones had decided to make the show’s final season a run of just six episodes, instead of the usual ten (or the seven we got last season), and the hot rumour was that some of these episodes would be movie-length to make up for it.
That rumour now seems to be coming to true, with a Game Of Thrones fan site called WinterIsComing.net unearthing the following runtimes on the official HBO website:
Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 1: 54 minutes
Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2: 58 minutes
Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3: 60 minutes
Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4: 78 minutes
Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5: 80 minutes
Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6: 80 minutes
If you click on those links above, you can see exactly where on the official HBO schedule that these times were found. This more than just a rumour, then: it’s actual info that the network itself has announced.
Game Of Thrones season 8 will premiere on April 14th 2019, on HBO in the USA and Sky Atlantic/Now TV here in the UK.
We’ll keep you posted as more news comes to light.
