‘Game of Thrones’ star Julian Glover brings ‘Maurice’s Jubilee’ to Brighton

Following a sell-out run at the 2012 Edinburgh Festival, Maurice’s Jubilee visits Brighton next month, starring Star Wars actor Julian Glover.

The former James Bond villain will lead the cast of Olivier Award winning Nichola McAuliffe’s most recent play alongside Sheila Reid (Benidorm) for a week long run from Tue 26 Feb to Sat 2 Mar 2013 at Theatre Royal Brighton.

Maurice’s Jubilee is “the hilariously funny and poignant take on timeless themes, the exploration of one man’s enduring commitment to a dream, and an eternal love triangle, fallen on hard times.”

The official synopsis reads: “Maurice is determined to reach his 90th birthday, which is the day before the diamond jubilee. The Queen, having made him a promise 60 years before, is coming to tea.  His wife is convinced he’s never met the Queen. His nurse thinks it’s time he did.”
