Humans, the android-stuffed show from Channel 4 and AMC, will not return for a fourth season. Read on to discover everything you need to know…
Humans – which was based on a Swedish drama called Real Humans – first came to our screens in June 2015, showcasing a world where humans have subservient robots called Synths to do their bidding. These Synths, played by such brilliant actors as Gemma Chan, rose up over the course of three seasons.c
TV Wise reports that the show has been cancelled, meaning that last year’s series 3 finale has become the last ever episode of Humans. That last episode aired in July 2018, meaning that fans have been waiting to find out if the show had a future. Sadly, as it turns out, it doesn’t.
“Humans will not be returning for another series. The show has had three successful series and has been much loved by fans”, said Channel 4 in a statement. “We are incredibly proud of Humans and the hugely talented creative team, in front of and behind the camera.”

“If there’s anyone out there with a few million quid and an interest in AI stories, we’re all ears,” Vincent said in closing, giving some hope to fans that would love to see the show live on at a different network/channel/streaming platform.
