ITV has commissioned a new drama set in the Lake District, from the makers of Foyle’s War.
Inspired by a true story, the four-part mini-series tells the story of a married couple who turn their remote Guest House into a Safe House.
Safe House is written by Michael Crompton (Kidnap & Ransom, Carrie’s War) and will be directed by Marc Evans (Hinterland, Collision).
ITV’s Director of Drama Steve November and Controller of Drama Victoria Fea commented: “It’s a compelling four-part drama from Michael Crompton with great characters and genuine twists which keep you guessing right to the end.”
Executive Producer Jill Green added: “Safe House is a quality drama with intelligently crafted characters delivering a complex and engaging story that will keep the viewer gripped.”
Safe House begins filming this autumn.
