American director Diablo Cody is writing a US remake of Channel 4 sitcom Raised by Wolves.

Set on a Wolverhampton council estate and written by Caitlin Moran with her sister Caz, the original Raised by Wolves launched in the UK on Channel 4 in March 2015.

Diablo Cody is best known as the Oscar-winning writer of 2007 teen pregnancy comedy Juno. and her previous TV work includes creating, writing and producing Showtime’s United States of Tara from 2009 to 2011.

The Raised by Wolves remake is being co-executive produced by Greg Berlanti (Supergirl, The Flash), alongside Caitlin Moran and Caz Moran, The Guardian reports.

Cody has also apparently been in touch with Moran about how to reinvent the show for a US audience. Its location is expected to be midwest America.
