Kevin Conroy, the legendary voice actor behind Batman: The Animated Series and the Batman Arkham video games, will make his first live-action appearance as Bruce Wayne in the Arrowverse’s Crisis On Infinite Earths TV event.
The news was announced at the TCA summer press tour – a media event that takes place every year in the USA. IGN quickly reported the news online, stating that Conroy “will portray Bruce Wayne from the future” in the massive telly crossover. That description immediately draws to mind the futuristic Batman Beyond storyline, where an elderly Bruce Wayne trains up his vigilante successor, which Conroy has lent his voice to on numerous occasions.
This news, of course, is very welcome among fans of Conroy’s voice work. For many, he is the definitive on-screen version of Gotham’s Dark Knight. And now, he finally gets the chance to don the cowl in the live-action realm.
Conroy shared his own excitement on Twitter…

The Crisis On Infinite Earths TV event is the latest crossover between The CW series Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends Of Tomorrow. Characters from the upcoming Batwoman show and the not-usually-connected Black Lightning are also expected to appear. We also know that former Robin actor Burt Ward is set to make an appearance, and that Superman Returns star Brandon Routh will don the Superman suit once again in the crossover.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
