The first images have been revealed from the set of Killing Eve season 2, which will bring Jodie Comer’s Villanelle and Sandra Oh’s Eve Polastri back to our screens for more cat-and-mouse murdery mayhem.

Additionally, some extra casting news was announced recently: Shannon Tarbet and Henry Lloyd-Hughes are joining the cast of Killing Eve for the show’s second season.
Shannon Tarbet (pictured below) has previously been seen in Colette and Genius, while Henry Lloyd-Hughes (pictured further below) has Harry Potter, Indian Summers and The Inbetweeners on his CV.
Entertainment Weekly broke the news of their castings, but no details were shared about the characters they’ll be playing in Killing Eve season 2.
Other new cast members joining the BBC America assassin drama for its second season include The Mighty Boosh star Julian Barratt, Love Actually‘s Nina Sosanya and A Discovery Of Witches‘ Edward Bluemel.
We don’t really know much about the new characters set to be played by these talented actors, but you’ve got to assume that some of them will end up getting skewered by Villanelle.
Killing Eve was developed for BBC America by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, inspired by Luke Jenning’s Villanelle novels. The show became a smash hit in the UK when the first season was released as a box set on the iPlayer.
Taking over from Waller-Bridge as the show’s head writer for season 2 will be Emerald Fennell. The writer/director/actress is set to have a big year in 2019: as well as picking up this gig, she’s also been cast as Camilla in The Crown season 3.
Killing Eve season 2 is expected to have a Spring 2019 release, and we’ll be sure to keep you posted as more news comes to light.
