The series returns to Netflix UK on Christmas Eve…
Lost In Space will return for its second season later this month, and ahead of its launch, the streaming service has unveiled a first trailer for the sophomore run.
The first season of the rebooted Lost In Space series arrived on Netflix in April of last year, and apparently its premiere-date viewership figures were Netflix’s third-best of 2018 (only Stranger Things season 2 and the movie Bright got more viewings on their first day, according to Nielsen data).
The show stars Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Maxwell Jenkins, Mina Sundwall, Taylor Russell, Ignacio Serricchio and Parker Posey, who have all returned to reprise their roles in season 2.
Take a look…
Lost In Space, if you’re unfamiliar, is a rebooted version of Irwin Allen’s classic sci-fi series from the sixties (which was also rebooted into a Matt LeBlanc film in the nineties). The series follows the Robinson family, who end up stranded on a strange planet in the year 2048.
Netflix threw a big budget at Lost In Space, and the result was a glossy sci-fi that audiences flocked towards. Netflix will be hoping that they stick around to watch this new block of episodes.
Season 2 will be streaming from 24th December.
