Matt Ryan’s John Constantine, who first appeared in his own short-lived NBC series, has seemingly found a new home aboard Legends Of Tomorrow. We’ve just heard that Ryan will be a season regular in Legends Of Tomorrow season 4.
The CW’s ‘Arrowverse’ has been kind to Ryan since Constantine was cancelled in 2015. Ryan has already appeared in one episode of Arrow season 4 and several instalments of Legends Of Tomorrow season 3, and there is a Constantine animated series coming soon to the CW Seed online platform.
With all of that in mind, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that Ryan will have a larger role to play in Legends Of Tomorrow season 4. But still, it’s nice to hear that we’ll be seeing more of the chain-smoking magic man.
It’ll be interesting to see whether Ryan’s Constantine becomes a member of the Waverider crew, or whether he will zip in and out of the story in a different way. Also, it remains to be seen whether that fling between Constantine and Caity Lotz’s Sara Lance will develop into anything more serious
It’s worth remembering that The CW hasn’t actually announced Legends Of Tomorrow season 4 yet. This seems like a fairly big indication that it will happen, though.
