Discussing the future of the hit comedy at a Broadcasting Press Guild lunch, BBC executive Shane Allen commented: “[Miranda Hart] is doing a live tour and then has film plans. The fourth series will probably be a long way off.”

Series 3 concluded on BBC One in January this year.
