The cast in falling into place for the pilot episode of Misfits. That’d be the American remake, that’s being overseen by iZombie’s Diane Ruggiero-Wright. She’s writing, producing, and will be showrunner of the new version. Howard Overman, who created the original British Misfits, is listed as executive producer too.
The pilot already has amongst its case Ashleigh Lathrop as Alicia, Tre Hall as Curtis, Jake Cannavale as Nathan and Allie MacDonald as Kelly. They’re the core group of young offenders who’ll find themselves with superpowers this time around.
It’s now been revealed too that they’re going to be joined by Dave Foley. He’s going to play Bernie, described as a “schlubby, desperate car-service driver”, with an eye on him taking a regular role in the series.
Whether that regular role comes to pass all depends, of course, on how well the pilot episode goes down. That’s set to shoot over the coming weeks. More news on this as we get it…
