The drama returns to E4 at the weekend for Series 3, which sees Joe Gilgun (This Is England ’86) join the cast as new guy Rudy, following the departure of Robert Sheehan as Nathan.

Stewart-Jarrett teased: “I think my character, Curtis, in a sense unravels slightly. He’s so cool, to his detriment, and almost quite stoic. And he kind of loses that – so there’s a twist this year.”

He continued: “I think what’s going on this year has taken him in a completely different direction. It’s been a lot different to play, a lot of fun. He’s unravelling – I think of it like wool, he’s just lost it!”

The actor also hinted at Curtis’s new power: “It isn’t as useful [as his previous power]… but he has fun with it. It’s fun!”

Series 3 Episode 1 airs at 10pm on Sunday 30th October.
