Adapted by The Nine co-creator KJ Steinberg, the series will air next summer, Deadline reports.
The remake is described as “a provocative thrilling drama that finds four women with scandalous romantic lives, caught in storms of excitement and self-discovery, secrecy and betrayal, and at the mercy of the complex relationships they’ve created”.
The original BBC One series ran for 16 episodes between 2008 and 2010, starring Shelley Conn (Terra Nova), Orla Brady (Eternal Law), Sarah Parish (Doctor Who) and Sharon Small, along with Spooks actors Raza Jaffrey and Max Brown.
A Canadian remake was previously developed in 2008 but was not picked up.
